I've already purchased three books for family for Christmas, and I'm planning on getting several more! They're all hardcovers, too. Pumping more money into the book economy! I put the graphic up on my blog, too. I'm sure I'll post about it soon. Great work!

I'm in! My list is a lot smaller this year. Only a couple people on the list I would have trouble buying a book for. My dad doesn't read books and I have a great niece who is only 2 so I'm not real sure what kind of book you would get a 2 year old.

Luckily, my friends and family share my reading passion, because I buy books, books, and more books as gifts! I've already picked out 5 for the boyfriend, and have already purchased 5 for my son - and I'm not done!! Great idea!!

I am in on this. I actually buy GC to the bookstore for my friends and family. I know they will use it for books. Everyone has such different taste in books and to pick things out for them its too hard and they have even said they would prefer the GC to pick out there own books.

Nice idea! I put the pic on both my Blogger blog, and I've tried to put it on my LiveJournal blog (which is mostly a mirror site of the other one), and it's a little too wide to fit in the sidebar there. Maybe you could make a couple of different sizes of the graphic available? Thanks!

Great idea!! My family (parents and sisters families) does out part in buying books...I would say for Christmas every year 90% of the gifts to each other are books!!!!! And then there are birthdays and anniversaries through the years too!!! WE love books!

I think this is great. My hubby and I often buy books for each other as gifts, and in fact I have already ordered some for him. I review science fiction books in my blog, and although I just started, I already have reviews up of several books, with more to come as fast as I can read. I encourage every one to give books, even to people who don't currently read much. You never know if the book you give them could be the one that sparks a new love of reading for them!
